Connected home renovations
Planning demolition for an accessible home renovation
A bathroom change may not solve a movement problem if the route to it still conflicts with the design. Start with the connected journey through the home, then identify the ordinary removals that follow the designer’s proposal. You do not need to put medical information in an enquiry to explain the rooms and access being changed.

Follow the route rather than one doorway
An illustrative route might run from the entrance through a hall into a bathroom, with a kitchen beside it. The designer could identify changes at several points. The removal discussion should connect them without assuming that every intervening room needs stripping.
| Part of the route | Removal question for the reviewed design |
|---|---|
| Hall opening | Which finishes or door components change, and what requires structural review? |
| Bathroom | Which fixtures and layers leave for the new arrangement? |
| Floor transition | Where does the selected removal stop beside retained rooms? |
| Kitchen edge | Do fixed units obstruct the design, or can they remain? |
Dimensions, suitability and the completed accessibility design belong with the qualified designer. Demolition is not a certification that a route will suit a particular person or device.
Compare an isolated change with a connected renovation
If only a doorway changes, keep the adjoining rooms outside the scope unless the reviewed details require more. The doorway-widening guide explains that first question.
If the proposal also replaces bathroom fixtures and continuous hall flooring, identify their shared boundaries together. A retained cabinet or service position can affect the receiving contractor’s work even when it is not itself removed. The tub-to-shower guide develops the fixture-specific decision.
Plan the interval before the new work is usable
Keeping a bedroom does not ensure a workable route or essential facilities during the renovation. Explain the household’s practical needs to the project team and agree the arrangement before relying on continued occupation. Do not treat the demolition finish date as the date the redesigned route becomes available.
Describe the rooms and the designer’s decisions
Ask TrueNorth to assess the ordinary interior removal. State the route involved, retained rooms and who is developing the design. Unknown details can remain questions. Our interior-demolition service provides the removal starting point without taking over design, structural or installation responsibilities.
Explain your project your way
Use the short enquiry or the optional three-step planner. You can review the summary and leave uncertain details for assessment. Neither form accepts attachments.
