Retail strip-outs and shop interior removal
TrueNorth assesses ordinary shop fit-out removal for tenant changes and store renovations. Fixed displays, counters, partitions and selected finishes can form one package, while useful stockrooms or staff facilities remain. Describe the shop you intend to create before asking to empty the whole unit.

A refresh and a tenant reset have different boundaries
For a selective refresh, identify the counter, display runs and finishes that conflict with the new layout. For a wider reset, show the former tenant fit-out being removed and the base-building elements being kept. Neither phrase defines a standard landlord handover condition.
Stock, loose shelving and business furniture need separate clearance decisions. Attached fixtures need review at their connections and surrounding finishes. Confirm ownership with the authorised property parties before adding a fitting to the removal list.
Follow the sales floor into the back rooms
| Area | Useful question |
|---|---|
| Sales floor | Which display positions disappear, and does the floor finish continue beneath them? |
| Cash counter | Are services connected, and who handles them? |
| Stockroom | Does its size and access still suit the incoming operation? |
| Shopfront | Which glazing, doors and landlord elements remain outside the package? |
Storefront glazing and building-system alteration are not inferred from an interior strip-out. Management and the relevant specialists establish those boundaries. The pre-lease guide helps when authority to alter the premises is still unsettled.
Define the condition for the next installer
A removed display can leave fixings or a different finish beneath its footprint. Ask the fit-out contractor what must be exposed and who provides repair, preparation and new installation. Keep retained stockrooms and neighbouring units visible on the plan, including their access needs.
For several stores, compare each inherited interior using our multi-shop refit guide. A repeated retail concept does not mean every address needs the same removal or can follow the same programme.
Request a shop assessment
Tell TrueNorth about the unit, the incoming layout and the fixed items being considered for removal. Include the property contact, retained rooms and known building restrictions. We can assess the ordinary demolition contribution without promising landlord acceptance or a store-opening date.
Explain your project your way
Use the short enquiry or the optional three-step planner. You can review the summary and leave uncertain details for assessment. Neither form accepts attachments.
