Restaurant strip-outs for operators and landlords
TrueNorth assesses the ordinary interior-removal portion of restaurant renovations: fixed dining fit-out, partitions, counters and specified wall, floor and ceiling finishes. Start with the intended next operation and the kitchen elements being retained. A restaurant changeover is not automatically a full premises gut.

Dining area, back-of-house or both?
A dining-only package might remove fixed booths and an obsolete service counter while retaining the kitchen. A broader renovation can include selected back-of-house finishes after the responsible specialists establish equipment and service arrangements. Show those areas separately so neither package absorbs the other by assumption.
| Element | Decision before removal |
|---|---|
| Fixed booths and counters | Which leave, and what floor or wall condition is needed beneath them? |
| Kitchen-adjacent finishes | What can be removed after equipment and connections have their own arrangements? |
| Partitions and ceilings | Which boundaries change under the reviewed design? |
| Loose furniture and supplier assets | Who owns, collects or relocates them? |
The restaurant-format guide compares a retained kitchen with a changed customer area. If the next tenant is a different kind of business, the restaurant-to-shop guide addresses that separate decision.
Keep specialist systems assigned
Hoods, gas, refrigeration, grease systems and fire suppression need their own responsible providers. They are not included merely because a drawing says kitchen demolition. Identify supplier-owned fittings and shared extraction or building services before defining ordinary removals beside them.
Unknown materials and structural questions also require the appropriate assessment. The visible kitchen finish does not establish the condition behind it. Do not disturb a layer to prepare the enquiry.
Agree what the fit-out contractor receives
Name the exposed surfaces and retained edges, then allocate repairs and new installation. Removing an old counter can reveal a footprint needing further work. Demolition completion does not establish food-service approval or readiness to reopen.
Tell us about adjoining businesses, building access and the proposed closure. Management and the project team must assess those arrangements; no opening date or uninterrupted service is promised by a short form.
Discuss the removal portion
Request a restaurant assessment with the location, proposed use, dining and kitchen boundaries, and the contact handling equipment and fit-out. TrueNorth’s commercial strip-out service remains the parent service for the agreed work.
Explain your project your way
Use the short enquiry or the optional three-step planner. You can review the summary and leave uncertain details for assessment. Neither form accepts attachments.
