Small business decisions

Does changing one office mean stripping the whole unit?

No broad strip-out should be assumed from a one-room change. Describe the business function you want to alter and the occupied areas that must remain. An office partition, its services and the building’s rules still need assessment even when the visible work looks small.

Separate the decisions

Keep the removal boundary separate from any plan to continue operating. A route through an active office, shared systems or building restrictions can affect whether the proposed sequence is workable. Do not use “after hours” as a substitute for that review.

What to explain next

Ask the property manager what approvals and coordination are needed for the specific change. TrueNorth can assess the removal portion against a defined proposal. If the design is still being developed, make that status clear rather than requesting a return-to-base strip-out of the entire suite.

Explore commercial strip-outs or ask about your own project.

Put the uncertainty into words

“We want to combine two offices while keeping the reception area. The manager has not yet reviewed the partition and shared-service implications.”

  • Which part of the office changes function?
  • What operations are intended to continue?
  • Who approves the actual alteration scope?

Choose your next step

Use the short enquiry, or organise what you know in the optional three-step planner. You can leave uncertain details for assessment. The form does not accept attachments.
