Inside the home
Should the old kitchen come out before new cabinets arrive?
Tie removal to a confirmed renovation sequence rather than a delivery estimate alone. The cabinet installer may need the room clear for measurement or preparation, but an early strip-out can also leave the household without a working kitchen while other decisions remain open.

Separate the decisions
Ask the installer what must be exposed and when they can assess it. Separate final measuring, service changes, wall repairs and installation readiness. These are different milestones. A cabinet delivery arriving at the house does not establish that the room is ready to receive it.
What to explain next
Explain which dates are confirmed and which are provisional. Include where new materials will be stored so their delivery does not block the removal route. Agree who will resolve the gap between removal and installation before committing to a sequence.
An example, not a completed job
Put the uncertainty into words
“The cabinet supplier has given a delivery window, but final measuring is pending. We need the removal arranged around that check and a clear storage route.”
- What does the installer need exposed?
- Which dates are actually confirmed?
- Where will the new materials wait?
Choose your next step
Use the short enquiry, or organise what you know in the optional three-step planner. You can leave uncertain details for assessment. The form does not accept attachments.
