Pool decisions
How can I ask about pool removal without the original records?
State what is unknown instead of guessing the pool’s construction or depth. You can still explain the visible pool, the surrounding yard and what you want to do with the space. Missing records become an assessment question, not a reason to invent specifications.

Separate the decisions
List any information already available from the seller, installer or property files and distinguish it from your own observations. Do not enter the pool, lift covers unsafely or expose buried parts to measure them for the form. Useful images can be discussed during follow-up; this form has no attachment feature.
What to explain next
Ask what records or on-site checks would help determine the removal options. The future use of the area matters as much as identifying the old shell. A contractor should assess the conditions before treating a general pool description as an agreed removal method.
An example, not a completed job
Put the uncertainty into words
“We bought the home with the pool and have no installation records. We want lawn in that area, and the side-yard access and pool construction both need assessment.”
- Which details are observed and which came from someone else?
- What do you want to use the area for?
- What records might still be available?
Choose your next step
Use the short enquiry, or organise what you know in the optional three-step planner. You can leave uncertain details for assessment. The form does not accept attachments.
