Ground and access
Does cracked concrete always need removal?
A crack does not by itself settle the repair-or-removal decision. Describe the problem you want resolved, such as an uneven route, a failed finish or a changed landscape plan. Ask the appropriate specialist to assess the condition rather than treating demolition as a diagnosis.

Separate the decisions
Repair, replacement and a new use of the area can lead to different scopes. If a paving or concrete contractor is planning the replacement, ask what they need removed and what base can remain. The visible crack alone does not establish the cause or the required excavation.
What to explain next
Once the direction is reviewed, TrueNorth can assess the removal portion. Keep any unresolved ground, drainage or structural concern explicit. Do not ask the enquiry form to certify that removing the surface will solve the underlying problem.

Put the uncertainty into words
“The path is uneven and we are considering replacement. A paving contractor still needs to assess the cause and base before we define the removal depth.”
- What practical problem needs solving?
- Has repair or replacement been assessed?
- Who specifies the removal depth for the next work?
Choose your next step
Use the short enquiry, or organise what you know in the optional three-step planner. You can leave uncertain details for assessment. The form does not accept attachments.
